The number of Russians who identify as atheists has fallen by 50 percent in just three years, according to a recent poll by the Levada research center. The poll, which was conducted in late June, revealed that the number of Russian atheists, or those who consider themselves “absolutely irreligious,” fell sharply from 26 percent in 2014 to just 13 percent in 2017.
