A reason some Christians say that the Scriptures are “subject to interpretation” or “it’s a matter of how you interpret the Bible,” or “you believe your way and I’ll believe my way” is sometimes because they do not know God’s heart or His intentions regarding what He said.

Nashville, Tennessee, Dec 6 — Nashville, Tennessee, Dec 6 — On Wednesday, November 29, The Tennessean, a Nashville-based newspaper, quoted Dr. Lee Camp of Lipscomb University as saying that Christians should abandon their belief in the “Lordship” of Jesus at an interfaith gathering at Lipscomb Univesity on Tuesday, November 28. Shortly after The Tennessean’s report, responses began surfacing from some in attendance at the event who said that Dr. Camp was misquoted by The Tennessean.
Believe it or not, we have a few things in common with our Muslim community. We are all created in the image of God. We all believe in a Supreme Being. They call him Allah. We call him Yahweh.
The oldest person in the world isn’t anymore. Three times this year I’ve seen headlines reporting that the world’s oldest person is currently dead. I don’t mean the same oldest person died three times, but that three different oldest persons have died.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is like a long-forgotten song. Some of the words occasionally come to mind, and you might remember a few bars of the melody. But it fades away again, retreating to the recesses of your memory.
My recently graduated son has a job – sort of. He is playing baseball for a living – sort of. He shipped out this week for Idaho Falls, a great American city – sort of. Now property of the Kansas City Royals, he is on his own – sort of. Anyway, he is excited about his adventures –sort of.
This is a sad time for America. We have a political party trying to transform some of America’s worst days into political gain.
Where is the line? When do we finally step out in boldness and say, “That’s it. Stop it. We’re not lying in spiritual lethargy anymore and we will now speak out. It’s time you hear what we have to say.” Do we as Christians intend forever to ignore the slander of those who ridicule us, malign us, and look down their pseudo-intellectual noses at us and our beliefs?
