That was probably the simplest and best way I've seen that apologetic defense used. That was a really cool video.

Watches are not living organisms. How many watches are self replicating chains of amino acids? Why, none at all. They do not produce enzymes, RNA or the such. They are not repeating, simplistic patterns of chemicals. They are machines, life is not.

cute video, but it seems to assume that all scientists are atheists that are just out to destroy Christianity. it almost makes me NOT want to learn about the wonders of cells and bacteria, because it assumes that then i will turn into an atheist scientist! i actually consider myself a christian scientist, by the way.

i'll be honest, though, i have no idea what 'apologetics' is...so...what is it??

From Dictionary.com:  the branch of theology concerned with the defense or proof of Christianity.

Apologetics is an area of interest that deals with showing evidence for such things as the existence of God and proving the veracity/authenticity of the Bible and the Christian faith.

I guess I didn't make my point very well then.  People would think it was absurd to think that a watch would be created by chance without skilled handiwork.  Are not all the creatures of the earth even so much more diverse and complicated... than a simple watch?
