    I have been getting messages from a source I believe to be God or some other Divine source. I would like to talk to someone to help me.

There has been several but they started with information about the pyramids being part of bible history.  Then about how we are missing the signs that God has given us today the same way he delivered them to our ancestors. Plus a few more.

  I posted the first two in Theology under Message about the Pyramids if you would like to read them.

  I posted here because I got no reply and do need to talk about this.

No, I don't Hear an actual voice. It's more like a thought , only it's not my thought. It is like what some people would call "a we small voice"

You admited elsewhere that you were heavy into drugs.  My advice is that I would look for answers in the physical world before I'd search for them in some supernatural world.

This is one of the most troubling aspects of religion.  Stating God exists is one thing, stating that you believe God is described accurately by a holy book is another....it's when folks say "God talks to me" that things get hairy.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I have no doubt that he exists and is in constant communication. As for the bible , I believe it is the best owners manual for life ever written.

On June 20th of 2001 Andrea Yates thought God told her to drown her 5 children.  God communicated to her too.

     I do believe that God communicates with us. It has been my experience, though, that it is usually not audibly. If we use the Bible as a reference point, audible revelations didn't communicate facts about history or anthropology or other odd facts. Ususally the revelations regard something about God or directives for behavior/action....

If I thought I was receiving messages from God (and sometimes I do), I would use a four fould approach.  first pray about it, for confirmation and clarity, and then I would make sure it lined up with God's Word.  If it does not line up with God's Word, it is most definitely NOT. Thirdly, ask others to pray for/with you.  Finally, call your pastor.  Do you have a pastor?  Call him, email him, reach out.  My pastor is an excellent resource for difficult questions.

Unfortunately, this is an extremely difficult question to answer, because we do not know if there is a drug abuse issue, or psychological problems, for instance.  No person can tell you whether or not you received a message from God.  You must figure it out.  God answers those who need answers.  I pray you find clarity.  God bless!
