Gosh  Doh! that is really easy to get as well since the scientific community decides whose opinion gets to count and every other scientist is ousted from the community.

Darlene
And there it is....I thought it would take longer

This movement has placed it in the mind of millions of people across the United states that there is this vast conspiracy to cover up the truth.  This is a direct result of the wedge stratagy.

People have been made to believe that scientists get thrown of the scientific community for going against established opinion. All you need to do, is pick up a scienitific magasine to see this is not true. Debates rage on every issue.

When some cretionist 'scientist' comes forward with a un-scienitific unproven theories on creationism, no wonder s/he  is black listed from the scientific community.

If evolution is so hard to go up against, why don't one of you conspiracy theorists simply look up some people who have gone up against evolution with SOLID SCIENCE.  Evolution has grown and changed with this theories and objection, the scientific community dealing with them.

It is so unfortunate that this mass hoodwink works.......here comes the next reply along the lines of I have been hoodwinked

Is that 99 percent of evolutionist? ;-)

Giggle Giggle Jamie, but I hope with that last post, you see my point. I could even blatently describe the trap I was laying, and someone still walked into it.

It is kind of like asking a person to prove Christianity by only using Islamic teaching. And everyone knows that you don't want to be classified as being part of a movement It is just another thinly veiled attempt to silence those who disagree with the firmly entrenched belief system ie: the religion of Evolution

Christians are constantly put in a position of having rocks thrown at them for the audacity of standing up for righteousness. So much so that many have been silenced into submission

I know enough to know that if you believe in intelligent design that can't be proved by  an evolutionist doctrine

It's kinda like I predict you will respond soon when I say "Global Warming hysteria  ::takingphoto::is a leftist plot to convert us all into socialist", even thought I have blatantly described the trap.

No, its nothing like that. Because creationism has no scientific basis.

Opposition to man made global warming has scientific basis. Although you are starting to get out there when you claim it is a global conspiracy.

It is once again the blurred difference between opinion and fact. There is no room for personal opinion in science, ID would have you believe there is

Actually depsite me saying that. There seems to be a large scientific consensus that global warming is man made. I don't know much about it though. So I am gonna go with what they say.

Imabear, you made your point. As Christ repeated so many times, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Matthew 11:15 ::amen!::

The video said that scientists think chance made the first cells.  This is inaccurate because chance isn't a cause, it is a measure of how predictable an outcome is.

Scientists reject young earth creation ideas for the same reasons they outright reject flat earth ideas.  It is a bias, a very strong bias against pseudo science.  Evolution explains all of the facts and observations about life.  It makes useful predictions that have been repeatedly tested and have been shown to be true, and it has practical uses in many areas of science including medicine.

Intelligent design, young earth creationism, or whatever you want to call it has never made a single prediction, has never produced any scientific breakthroughs of any kind, ever, and there is plenty of evidence that directly contradicts it.

I'm not even sure why people debate this issue.  Are our education systems that poor that people don't understand current scientific progress?

That is correct.  And I think even the most dedicated evolutionist understands now that the chances of spontaneous initiation of life on earth is so small as to be zero.

Evolution explains all of the facts and observations about life.  It makes useful predictions that have been repeatedly tested and have been shown to be true, and it has practical uses in many areas of science including medicine.

I could be wrong, but it is not evolution which you are describing there.  Rather it is simply good solid biological science.  That is not the evolution that supposedly has produced man from a single cell life form.

Intelligent design, young earth creationism, or whatever you want to call ......

ID and YEC are not the same thing.  The evolutionist tends to want to make them the same because it is easy to debunk YE types but not so with ID.  The main reason I believe that they reject ID is not so much because it ultimately looks to God as the initiator, but because it continues to ask very legitimate questions which the evolutionist can not answer.

I'm not even sure why people debate this issue.  Are our education systems that poor that people don't understand current scientific progress?

Yes our education systems are very poor.  But it is not because they have failed to teach evolution as a science.  The debate is because they have taught it as science.  They have treated a plausible explanation as fact.  Moreover, any alternative plausible explanation is rejected.  They hypothesize that life on earth began  spontaneously outside of earth even though there is absolutely no evidence of.   Note that they have, for the most part, given up on the idea that life began spontaneously on earth.

You say you know little of biology then come out with a statement like that. How do you speak with such authority on the matter then? I know of not one good question ID asks of evolution.

This is not true. I believe god provided the spark, and since he knows all he knew how to create that spark, and the mechanimsms to set the ball in motion. There are now several incidences of cell like structures forming in the lab in certain conditions, proteins etc.  Scientists thing we can create life from scratch within 20 years. (which of course still requires a designer)
