Yes Jesus is God and He makes the following statement in Isiah 43:11. Strong's Jehovah="the existing One"  1) the proper name of the one true God

(Isaiah 43:11)   I, even I, am the LORD  (Jehovah); and beside me there is no saviour.  (12)  I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD  (Jehovah),  that I am God.

(Isaiah 44:6)  Thus saith the LORD (Jehovah)  the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.  Notice here that Jehovah states there is no other God.

(Isaiah 40:3) The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness  (John the Baptist), Prepare ye the way of the LORD  (Jehovah), make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Who was John making the way for? Jesus.

(Matt. 3:1-3)  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,  (2)  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  (3)  For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord  (Jehovah), make his paths straight.  Here John the Baptist calls Jesus Jehovah!

The Father is God -  (Isaiah 43:10)  Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD  (Jehovah),  and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Jesus, the Son is God -  (John 1:1)  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  This is not "the word was a God,"  because  (Isaiah 43:10) repeated  ". . understand that I am he (Jehovah): before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

The Holy Spirit is God -  (Acts 5:3-4)  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?  (4)  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Hope this helps; I normally use this when Jehovah Witnesses come by. Someone may switch this to Theology, but I'll let them have the experience.

I had to do some more searching through the Word because I just wrote what I could find! So I updated it a bit but some are still the same!

1 Timothy 3:16

In the beginning was the WORD/Christ,and the Word was with God,and the Word (WAS) God.He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through HIM,and without HIM nothing was made.
In HIM was life(Breath of Life),and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness,and the darkness did not comprehend(overcome)him.

Some might think this is a strange observation but let's look at an egg.Is there not 3 parts(trinity)to an egg?
The yoke is the Holy Spirit
The white is Christ
The shell is God,united WE are one within HIM,for the Lord Himself protects US!

I believe that Jesus was of flesh & the spirit of God on earth but the only thing that doesn't make sense is why would He cry out to Himself in Heaven when He was dying on the cross "My God,Why have You forsaken me", or Him praying at Mt.Gethsemane to Himself! I do believe in Heaven they are 2 seperate Spiritual entities but of the same Spiritual mind if that makes sense because in
Gen.1:26,God says "Let US make man in OUR image."

Colossians 1:15 says,"He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn over all creation.For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth,visible and invisible."
That & Gen.1:26 tells me that Jesus was the 1st Spirit that God ever created before God started creation by creating Himself a Son in Heaven 1st.Then Jesus came as a volunteer to die for His Father then US to save US from sin through repentence!

John 10:30 Jesus says,"I and My Father are One!"

Yes, there is room for ambiguity ... but God had this done on purpose,
which is a very similar deal to Jesus teaching in parables a whole lot.
He said the reason for the parables was to fulfil Scripture, which said ...
the spiritually blind would not see, and the spiritually deaf would not see.

The Lord teaches spiritual Truth through the Holy Spirit,
NOT through black words printed on white paper.
I.E. an unsaved person has NO idea what Scripture is talking about
(historically he does, but spiritually he does NOT).

It's not so much ambiguity as it is the wrong question being asked.

Did God really become a man?

Is Jesus really a man?

The emphasis on his humanity is such that it would be a shame for God to go to so much trouble and we miss it somehow.

Jesus who is THE WORD of God says this about his Father who was in heaven when the Word became flesh, sent of the Father so the Word could be forsaken and die and the new covenant Word be resurrected on the 3rd day.
The Father is too mighty to come to us, so He sends us His Word which is His Son. The Word is the Seed of God that makes us a child of God by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit who draws us to the Word.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
