Dear Aasimah, I'm amazed there were no responses to your question. What we have is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is our Father, and because of our sinful nature of all men, Jesus came to die to pay the penalty for our sins and become our Savior so that any who would could freely become God's children by calling upon His name, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?

In the Muslim religion, they recognize Jesus as a prophet, and by their own admission they state that a prophet cannot lie. Jesus said the following concerning being able to go to our Father in heaven: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Does God love the Muslim people? Yes He does and wants nothing but good for them, for God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. You can have everlasting life, and you can have freedom in Christ because if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

How do you become a Christian? If thou will say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead after He died for you, you shall be saved. For with the heart you believe unto righteousness and with your mouth that confession is made unto salvation. You can do this without ceremony or fanfare and you can come just as your are. If I or any others can answer questions for you please ask. I'll be praying for God to show and bless you with the truth in the precious name of my Lord Jesus. Thank you for coming to this forum and I do hope you're still around.

hi , thats the first step in becoming a christian. to begin with. we believe that Jesus is Gods son. He was sent to the earth to save us. He died on the cross an was raised from the dead 3 days later. because of this our sins can be forgiven. He took our place on the cross , to pay for our sins. this doesnt mean that we can keep on doing the things that we did before we ask him to come into our hearts and save us. God says that no man comes to the Father (God), accept through his son Jesus. so you have to ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you from your sins first. then you turn away from anything that you are doing that is not pleasing to God. you try to do good to others , love everyone, including your enemies, help those that you can , if you dont have a bible you can go on the internet to online bibles. and read it there. it is free . always read the king james version though, along with any other versions of the bible. to be sure they say the same thing. i know its been over 4 months since you posted this hon, but i am praying and believing that God will give you the desire to come back and read your post again so that you will see this. by this you will know that what i am saying is true , and that Jesus is truely the son of God and wants you to be saved , and you will ask him to become your lord and Savior. hope to see you on here again.

Hello Assimah,

God bless you and thank you for sharing! I thank the Lord for your desire and willingness to want to seek truth for yourself. Knowing that is the kind of heart God seeks to reveal Himself to.

I believe we are living in a time of such great deception. Many times blinded even by the traditional thinking of our own families, who can many times hinder us from learning truth for ourselves and from receiving the true knowledge of God and the life He desires for each of us. God doesn't want us to be conformed to any image the world has to offer, but to be transformed into the image he desired for man since "the beginning".

In the beginning, the bible teaches, God created man's body out of the dust of the ground, then breathed into his nostrils the "breath of life", making man a living being. The "breath of life" is one of the names of God's spirit. It bears reference to his nature, which gives life.

In the beginning, God made mankind in his image and likeness, all zipped up in a human suit. His image meaning-mankind was a reflection of the character and nature of God. Also, supernatural in nature. Having a nature unaffected by sickness, disease, curse or death. In His image meaning-mankind could walk, talk, think, and operate like God in the earth. Man's purpose was to make sure God's will was done in the earth, as it is in heaven.

Although, God had given mankind His identity and authority in the earth, mankind itself was still under the authority of God. As a reminder of this, in the Garden of Eden where the first man and woman resided in the earth was a tree called "the tree of knowledge of good and evil". God on purpose put this tree in the garden and told man he could eat of any fruit in the garden, but not that of the "tree of knowledge of good and evil". For in the day that he did eat of it he would surely die. So not eating from this tree, fundamentally represented man's obedience to God.

However, later in the story due to the enemy of God, who was present in the garden, having deceived the first woman, mankind sinned by disobeying God's command and eating from the forbidden tree. The consequence: Man lost the image of God. Instead of God's nature, man now had the nature of sin. A nature that could now be affected by sickness, disease, curse and death. A nature now void of the Holy Spirit, who not only gives life, but is life.

There are two kinds of death: 1)physical death-of this we know well 2)spiritual death-meaning we are cut off from the source of life w/whom we were one in spirit; God.

For this reason, from birth we are sinners. We are not sinners because we've sinned. But because now we are all born in the likeness and nature of the one who sinned before us and due to this nature we are inclined (having the tendency) to sin.

The penalty as God declared in the beginning-DEATH! Unfortunately, God is God and His Word does not come back void.

But God who is love, in His infinite love and mercy had a plan. He Himself, came down in a body suit, in the glory of the "Son of God". As one of us, smuggled through the womb of a virgin, not conceived from the seed of a man. For this reason, not having the "sin nature" we are born w/. He walked in total obedience to the Father of spirits, our God.

For this reason He claimed to be the Son of God and rightly so. For he bore the image and likeness man once had "in the beginning". Muslims believe Jesus lived and was born of a virgin. Then who is His Father??

Jesus also, said, He and the Father are one. They are one spirit , does that not make them one?

So who is the Jesus of God's Word. He is "The Word", God Himself who step out into space and time to model to us what a "child of God" in earth is like by coming as one of us. Then although, he was perfect, blameless and w/out sin, He chose to die on the cross, paying the consequences of our sins-death, in order to redeem us from sins power, and restore us to the image and likeness of God. And because, he fully paid the price and is who He says He, He had the power to rise again alive, continuing to minister in the earth, being seen by many witnessed until, He was received up in glory.

The bible says:

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:22-23 (NKJV)

So when we choose to have a relationship w/God, believing Christ made that possible by His sacrifice and believe that when we die to sin (repenting and turning away) from our sinful nature, we receive the Holy Spirit (the breath of life) and are transformed, having the nature of God; his image and likeness. Like Jesus, we then are sons and daughters once again of the God Most High.

Why should you believe in the God and Jesus of our bible? What we call the Word of God is extremely prophetic in nature. The bible contains passages of times, events, and lives foretold hundreds to almost a two thousand yrs before there passing and later shows fulfillment of those scriptures. Scriptures which mainly speak of the coming of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Scriptures foretelling of his birth, his life, ministry, and death and later Christ fulfilling them all.

'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,'

Says the Lord of hosts.
Zech 4:6 (NKJV)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,

Justified in the Spirit,

Seen by angels,

Preached among the Gentiles,

Believed on in the world,

Received up in glory.

1 Tim 3:16 (NKJV)

That is our God, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I pray this answers many questions for you. I myself, hadn't even been to a church in yrs when I came to know God. I too, just wanted to know God and truth for myself. I wanted eternal life, I wanted peace in my life. I wanted the amazing life His Word said, He wanted me to have. I wanted to know one day I will be in a place such as heaven with Him. I wanted to know that if hell exists I won't be going there. So I  simply made the choice one day to reach out in faith and asked God to make Himself known to me. And to be honest it was faith I didn't even have. I didn't know what to expect. So I asked God, if you're truly real, then I want to know you and want the life you desire for me, BUT you're going to have to give me the faith to...Let me end by telling you God is faithful, God is love, and if you seek Him w/a sincere heart, He will NOT forsake you!

Be blessed!
