I am from a family of six. i have three older sisters. My father wanted a son, so he was determined to keep trying. My mother promised the Lord that if He would give her a son, she would dedicate him to the Lords service. I did not know this until after i surrendered to the ministry. I preached my first sermon at the age of 17. There were seven professions on that day and one of those was my father. I do have some difficulty with the baptist theology as it pertains to the work of the Holy Spirit. The Baptist Doctrine is that when a person is saved he receives all that the Lord has for him at that moment. I believe that the scriptures teach the baptism of the spirit apart from salvation. Receiving the Spirit and being baptized in the spirit are two different things.
Joh 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Ac 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
John was filled with the Spirit from his mothers woumb but desired to be baptized by the Lord.
Lu 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Mt 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
