How many Baptists are on this forum? Counting votes above.

I know there are different beliefs among Baptists.  Please tell us a little something about the beliefs of the church you attend.

Hi, Bonnie!  Yes, I'm a Baptist.  I was recently attending a Southern Bapist church, but have recently switched back to an Indepentant Fundamentalist church, where I was first saved and attended for two or three years.  I'm not sure what the difference between the two is, if any.  The Southern Baptist church was slightly more liberal, but that could have just been a difference in Pastors. And the Southern Baptist church was a part of an organization of the SBC, wheras this church isn't.

I guess you would call me a Fundamentalist as well.
I don't know very much about the Southern Baptists and it's probably more widely known than most.  I think Jimmy Carter is a Southern Baptist. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

Lots of Baptist off-shoots on this board.   Some of them like to call themselves "RM'ers."

Though now living in Florida, I don't particularly like the southern Baptist churches. I'm from a northern Independent Fundamental Baptist church.
