I have been to many forums looking for I.F.B. but all I find are Catholics who are lying about about being a baptist

    I have been to baptist 1000,IFB1000
And every single person on those sites believe just like the Catholics!
1.)95% of them believe in a works salvation(repenting of sin unto salvation)
The other 5% claim all men must repent to be saved
2.)They don't all stand on Gods word(the K.J.V.)
3.)Even though they claim "local church" in their statement of faith says they also believe in the "universal church"

Will the real IFB please stand up!?

Well Looks like there is none here. Now what is the real IFB and what sets it apart? Just what are you looking to find?

            I'm looking for true I.F.B. who still BELIEVE Gods word,who haven't fallen for the false teachings of the reformed movement who have always and still believe like their Mother!
These "I.F.B. so called" are preaching the same false gospel as the Babylonian Religion-repentance unto salvation!
Instead of preaching repentance,but concerning the gospel "thy FAITH hath saved thee"So, like the Mother who they claim complete separation from they preach a works salvation....."denying the power thereof"
Claiming to be a local church,yet in their mission statement admitting to belong to the "Universal Church"

They also have begon to lose stand on the doctrine of preservation,excepting perversion bibles.

Some of them even advertise for false teachers like Joel Olsteen with his "everybody come along and lets get along" gospel.

I thought the IFCA was more conservative than IFB's.

It's Christians like you who give the bad image to non-christians about a christian really is. You should LOVE people and not call them Antichrist. I consider myself a Independent Fundamentalist Baptist and we are not AT ALL like you. Above all we LOVE people and not call them Antichrist.

I "used' to be an IFB, or at least a member of that church denomination.....however I foudn it kept me laden in shame, rules, and inauthenticity, so I left and got healed....I stayed out of church for 4 years to 'fast' from the programming in my brain, and am just attending a church again for the first time. There was a ton of good from the IFB....hands down, I have not seen hospitality like that anywhere else. I know the people really *loved* us but I could not keep jumping the bars....they got higher and higher, and I fell from grace and became disillusioned with God.

Either way, I am in agreement that name calling catholic people is not congruent with what Christ emulated, and breathed from The Spirit. If you can only get along with other IFB's, and denounce all others, you have a much bigger issue than finding comraderie. The fact that there are not any IFB's who fit your bill, is not anyone's problem but your own. With all the legalism and other ism's running rampant today in the Body Of Jesus, i do not feel bad calling it out like it is. I would die speaking the truth to somewone who has been abused, squelched, oppressed, and poisoned spiritually, and provoked to keep living in shame, guilt, and perfectionism.

i attend a fundamental baptist church here in the philippines and we are using the  a Higaynon version  (that's a local dialect) because many people here in our place understands best in our native dialect. According to your your satement 2 are we not standing on God's Word?

on your stament 3 i think what they mean by local church is the group of people worshipping God in their locality or area and what they mean of the universal church is the Body of Christ - Christians from all over the world. It is what I understand.

And on your statement 1 our church believes that God saves a sinner by  grace through faith and a sinner was given grace to have repentace and faith. Salvation is like a coin with two sides - repentance (recognizing you are a sinner, asking forgiveness from your sins and turning away from your sins)  and believing the good news (believing  that Jesus died on the cross as payment for your sins and for adoption to God's family).
Mark 1:15- "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"
Luke 5: 32 - I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Luke 24:27 - and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (repentance, then what?, forgiveness of sins ,how?, the sacrifice of Jesus.)
i believe that this is God's design for our salvation because how could you put your faith in the saving work of Jesus when in the first place you are not repenting from your sins?
