I think you need to read the post that Lee made in the "midnight mass" thread, where the Catechism states that for what ever reason there was for the split, those of us born again after that split, are still in the body of Christ.  My being a born again Christian does indeed give me place as a member of "the body of Christ"...

I would say there was separation in the church long before you claim the schisms began... and it's even debatable.  I just don't want to debate it.  Still, when a truely born again person has forgiveness of sins and comes in to Christ through His saving blood, they are a part of the body.  It's biblical.  No doubt about it.

Kensington, it's abundantly clear you have no desire to truly understand what my position is regarding the Orthodox Church and the salvation of those who are not visibly a part of that Church.  Perhaps if you took the time to truly understand what it is I'm saying, rather than using your categories to define what I'm saying, you'd be rather surprised as to what it is I truly believe.  But it seems to me that you'd just rather paint me into a particular corner and toss criticisms at me there.

No thanks.

Okay then...

But, actually this was not about you. It was about what you teach concerning who is and is not "the body"... on a personal level, what you believe isn't pertinent if what you espouse is something contrary to the word of God.

We as Catholics, must continue to pray for our Protestant brothers and sisters.  My father was a Baptist Minister, I grew up Baptist.  Thanks Be to God, I attended RCIA and discovered the Catholic faith.  We have it all dear friends, the fullnest of the faith.  We are able to receive Him in the Eucharist during communion.  He is within us and nourishes our soul on this early pilgrimage to the Blessed Homeland.  I'm not saying Catholics are the only ones going to Heaven, because He will not hold anyone accountable for things they do not know.  This is the most awesome faith and there is no way I could ever leave the Catholic Church.   I will continue to pray that all of you will be open to learning about our beautiful faith.
