 You said "Charismata is a Protestant innovation". Charismata are the gifts of the Holy so they cannot be a Protestant invention. According to the Catechism they are to be "accepted with gratitude by the person who receives them".

So why are you so against them?

What involvement have you had with CCR? (Isuspect very little)

The CCR is approved by recent Popes, and ICCRS (International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Sevices) is based in Vatican premises in Rome. It has statutes issued by the Pontifical Council for the Laity. 

Here is an extract from the Statutes:

The central goals of CCR, or Catholic Pentecostal Renewal as it is also called, include:
 
 1. To foster mature and continuous personal conversion to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
 
 2. To foster a decisive personal receptivity to the person, presence and the power of the Holy Spirit.

These two spiritual graces are often experienced together in what is called in different parts of the world a baptism in the Holy Spirit, or a release of the Holy Spirit, or a renewal of the Holy Spirit. They are most often understood as a personal acceptance of the graces of Christian initiation and as an empowering for personal Christian service in the Church and in the world.
 
 3 . To foster the reception and use of the spiritual gifts (charismata) not only in the CCR but also in the broader Church. Nothing new winsome, from the number of Catholics I've seen just on these forums it's clear that no two people that read the scriptures can agree on the context, regardless of which denomination, sect, division, etc, that they belong to.

Nothing new winsome, from the number of Catholics I've seen just on these forums it's clear that no two people that read the scriptures can agree on the context, regardless of which denomination, sect, division, etc, that they belong to.

exactly so and even two priests will not give the same homily or sermon on the current reading - it is now necessary and possible to give the same and the best rendition to all so that all hear the same teaching in the cause of unity - wincam
