Wow... you guys surely have some Fairy Tales.

Just because someone said it, doesn't make it true.

I know, all in all, if Mary could do so much, why did we ever need Jesus.

You are right, Pelagianism was a horrible heresy, and some people did believe it. But thanks be to God, the truths of the Catholic faith prevailed over it.

Interesting that in his effort to denounce Pelagian and promote the ever virgin Mary, he did not use scripture to back his claims of her divinity, instead he reiterated the words of a 2nd century pope to make his case. Sorry but this is hypocritical in that sense, since Pelagian had no evidence to support his claims, nor does this Priest.

He doesn't claim that she is divine. If he had I would have tossed the homily in the digital garbage bin as any faithful Catholic would.

You are right, Pelagianism was a horrible heresy, and some people did believe it. But thanks be to God, the truths of the Catholic faith prevailed over it.

The nonsense about Mary being always a virgin, and some old deceived pope declaring that she didnt die as we do, that she chose to go and was taken into heaven as Jesus was at His resurrection. WHat unbiblical heresy that is. Unbelieveable that the speaker or anyone else listening could believe such fairy tales.  ::frown::

ITs deeply disturbing that fallible man has not only added to the Bible, but has made their own words out to be on a par with Gods words, and on occasions where what they say contradicts the word, they even seem to believe their words above Gods words.  ::eek:: ::eek:: ::eek:: ::eek:: ::eek::
