I being an ex-Catholic am surprised to see so many attacks of Catholicism from other Christians. I may disagree with their dogma on many things, but most I have known believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and are every bit the Christian I am.
How do we serve the Lord is the question to me. Many of us have different doctrines, and I truly believe you are going to see multitudes of Catholics with the Lord in that day coming. Of course, Catholics have exclusion doctrines too.
Romans 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. To me this not only refers to eating, but how we serve the Lord.
Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
What righteous works are we to exercise as Christians? Is it not to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Brethren, if we do these we will do well indeed.
God bless you all in Jesus' name - larry2
Hi larry. You are right. Names become walls that divide us. the church is the church and all who worship in spirit and in truth are the church. Yes the word speaks of a division but it is not about denominations.
the word divides the those who believe and those who don't
the carnal from the spritual
the sheep from the goats
the tares from the wheat.
The five wise and the five foolish
the word nevedr pits a denomination from another
There are doctrines of denomiantions that are deception and do mislead.
