Crazy Love by Francis Chan

I want to recommend a book called "Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a relentless God" by a guy named Francis Chan. I got it as an ebook and really enjoyed it. It was one of the first times I've actually highlighted and bookmarked passages that really inspired me.

The question the book poses is summed up well by an opening quote by a guy named François Fénelon, who said "To just read the Bible, attend Church, and avoid "big" sins - is this passionate, wholehearted love for God?"

And another quote was from a guy named Tim Kizziar, who said "Our greatest fear as individuals and as a church should not be of failure, but of succeeding in things in life that don't really matter."

Francis Chan then goes on to look at just what it means to be loved by God - and what it means to have a true and meaningful love for God in return, and describes how Christian life shouldn't simply be about 'please God don't send me to hell,' but should be about looking to Jesus and desiring to know the Father more and more, and at the end of the day our salvation isn't simply about trying to get out of hell, but it's about entering into an eternity with the God who loves us.

So, anyhow, I thought it was a great read, and wanted to recommend it to anyone who hasn't checked it out.

Earlier this week one a fellow church member recommended I read the book Crazy Love, and then I come across your post. Coincidence or is someone trying to tell me to read this book? Maybe I will have to put it higher on my "to read" list.
