This short book takes a look at the logic that has trapped us inside our own beliefs and suggests that in order to follow Christ, we need to get over ourselves.
I'm glad I decided to make this a short book, because I'm growing tired of the arguments, even if they're only in my head. I don't want this to be all about what's wrong with the Church of Christ; that's why I included a number of positive comments in the beginning. I don't want to trade one type of navel-gazing that seeks to legitimize everything that we do for another that seeks to condemn the same. That's not why I'm writing this. I'm writing this because I can no longer justify keeping silent while we sully the name of Christ. The idea that we should just get along for the sake of peace dissipates when we realize that we are pacifying the few while shutting out the many. When we do nothing, we are saying that the comfort of insiders is worth more than the salvation of outsiders.Branch, Tony C. (2014-06-19).
