favorite book/author

Who is your current favorite author or your current favorite book. I say current because mine changes all the time. Also just to be clear...I'm not including the Bible in this because obviously that would be everyone's favorite.


My favorite book right now is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. Its a retelling of the story of Hosea in 1850's gold rush California. It is an amazing story of unconditional love, acceptance, forgiveness, and grace.

Francine Rivers is an amazing author!  Her Mark of the Lion Series is wonderful as well!  The Atonement Child, The Last Sin Eater...I could go on and on.

I really love Kathy Troccoli's book, Am I Not Still God?  I have enjoyed all her books, but that one really helps during times of trouble.

Hands down, for me it's two of Phillip Keller's books:  "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23"-- which left me loving God more and "Lessons from a Sheepdog" which left me understanding and appreciating my relationship to my Lord more.

I was going to say the Bible is my favorite book and my favorite author would be God, since He is the author of the Bible but you said you're not including that. Well my next favorite book, it would be hard to say. I do really like the Jack Blank series by Matt Myklusch.

I would have to have that broken down more than is done so far.

Favorite WHAT KIND of book?  Fiction? SciFi? Murder mystery? Non-fiction? Bible study? Technical manual? 

For the first I would have to say the E-book that was advertized on here a year or more ago "The Last Hybrid" by Lee Wilson

For SciFi it would be the Firebird series by Kathy Tyers

For murder mystery it would be "Hound of the Baskervilles" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

For bible study, It would be the Foundation Series by Derek Prince.

I will not get into technical manuals at this point.
