I finished this book a few days ago. It looks at several trends in the modern evangelical church. Some of which are only annoying, and some of which are down right pagan. The theology is conservative, and the style is a little snarky, but it is a good book overall. Toes may get stepped on, but he makes a LOT of valid points.
Topics covered include (this is not even close to an exhaustive list, the book has 4o chapters):
Books on heaven and back
Chronological snobbery in how churches are built and services conducted
Short term mission trips - are they worth the money, and are they mission trips or service trips?
I enjoyed the book a lot, and agreed with the vast majority of what he wrote.
