Books like "Dorie" and other Christian Biographies

So, my wife is interested in reading some good Christian stories, but she is kinda picky about what she reads...
Her favorite book is "Dorie: The Girl Nobody Loved" by Doris Van Stone (with Erwin W. Lutzer)
She really enjoys books that are told like a good story, and she also doesn't care for fiction. For instance, she hasn't really gotten "into" the book "Through the Gates of Splendor" by Elisabeth Elliot, even though it's got good information, because it is very detailed and slow.

Any books ya'll would suggest?
