Taking the New York Bar Exam
« on: Mon Apr 13, 2009 - 07:22:04 »
I'm not sure if anyone on here can help me, but I'm trying to get information from as many sources as possible, and this is as good a place as any!!!

I've recently considered taking the NY Bar exam, and I have a few questions that I can't seem to find any answers to.

If you take the bar exam and pass, does that automatically enable you to stay and work in the States, or do you still have to go through finding a company that will sponsor you to work over there.

Also, I did my LLB (law degree) 5 years ago, and I haven't had any legal practise since then, is it going to be too difficult for me to get back into it and study for and take the Bar exam? I am trying to get some legal experience now, but I'm wondering if I've left it too long.

Does anyone know how much is it to actually take the exam.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated, and if you have no answers, I would really appreciate your prayers as I make this difficult decision.

Thank you so much

I suggest you contact the school you attended. They should be able to answer your questions and even assist you with filings, etc.

I completed my law degree two years ago and now wish to sit for the Bar exams. I’m also having some similar questions in mind. Also I did find it a bit difficult to prepare for the exam by myself, so I joined one of the reputed Bar Review Courses.
