Okay, so starting last August I got a job at a pizza restaurant that's a hometown restaurant and is my only source of money.  I need that money for college, missions trips, etc.  My two managers started me out on dishes and I was doing okay I guess.  Now I'm doing good and I am making pizzas (top job) and it's pretty sweet.  But...just recently, my manager's dad, the one who started the business, flew in from Sicily and he is staying until March.  He's 75 but has a nasty temper and can speak very little English.  He is driving everyone crazy.  He leaves about 2-1 1/2 hours before closing time and, when he leaves, I sometimes get...well, I guess I kind of get picked on.  Like my manager, Leo, the son of the starter of the business, kind of jokes around with me a bit as well as some co-workers and it gets kind of bad sometimes, like it did tonight.  I think they are all non-Christians and that leaves me with the sole purpose of being the only Christian there.  They used to really treat me badly in November and I told Leo that I might quit.  He and I talked for a bit and he said that he was so sorry that he ever let that happen and that he won't do it again.  Well, now he and a bunch of others are treating me very disrespectfully and with school and all, I don't think it's worth my time.  It gets so frustrating some nights and he acts like he doesn't even care about me really.  Please, somebody help.

What are you going to do financially if you quit?  If you do want to quit, I would secure another position first.  JMHO.

Is there an adult who knows your situation that you could talk to about this? Sometimes it's easier to advise someone if you know more about a situation, and it's hard to tell us everything here.

Jobs are all the same, you probably won't ever find a job where atleast some of that goes on

What Spurly said.  It is easier to find a gig if you already have one, it seems.

Haven't you heard? Obama is going to tax "the rich" (how dare they be that good at what they do) so you can just sit at home and get a paycheck. Give Barry a call and I'm sure he'll have your first check in the mail.

Obama's definition of 'rich' started out at $250k per year. What's it down to now? About $30k?

Now it's all taxpayers. This past Sunday (1-25-2009) his senior economics advisor said he was going to revoke the Bush tax cuts. See below:

President Obama's senior economic advisor said Sunday that Obama will revoke the Bush tax cuts. Lawrence Summers, head of Obama's National Economic Council, told “Meet the Press” that despite Americans hurting because of the economy, Obama will allow the tax cuts to expire, causing the taxes of millions of middle class Americans to increase. Hi Wolflet7

I really feel for you and the situation you are in.  I was in a similar situation myself at the last place I worked at as most of the time I felt I was on the "outside" because of my faith.  At the time I really needed that job so I had to stick it out but I was constantly in prayer throughout the day asking God to be with me.  Sometimes it was really hard not to come down to their level but stand firm and keep your morals.  All I can suggest is to talk to your boss again and to be in constant prayer about this situation.  Remember, God is with you at every moment of every day and it is soooo much more comforting to draw nearer to Him than your workmates.

God's blessings to you Wolflet7

Hi, me personally i will not quit my job because someone is picking on me or calling me names. We as Christian must learn to endure touch times and we must always remeber to be patient and kind and loving toward those who hate us, by being Christan and holding on to you faith strong our Lord Jesus Christ will help you and you will receive your rewards up in heaven. One day your kindness and loving toward those who hates you will one day brings them to Christ and that alone is worth everything pain.  Amen!

JESUS has said that there is a special reward for those that are persecuted  because of
Their love for and their witnessing for CHRIST.
My concordence isn't available at the moment but this message is repeated many times throughout the new testament.
Keep your present job until the  HOLY SPIRIT leads you to a better one.  Thank you JESUS Amen.

Do not quit your job, if you have no other job to go to - as God does not like laziness and idleness.

Instead pray to God and ask Him to give you a more satisfying job, where you can be happy and enjoy the fruits ofyour labour - whilst you look for another job at the same time.  God can only bless you if you do your part!  Do not tell anyone your plans.
