I mean from a Christian perspective we are all about no ponography. I hear more and more how those kind of movies are supposed to help married couples spend more time with intimacy.

Would it be a sin to have people having sex on your TV while you and you spouse are trying to do the same?

I don't think that would be spending more time in intimacy... it would be "watching" someone else have intimacy...  Sin.  We are not supposed to be "peepers"... of intimacy.

We are not to entertain sexual gratification with anyone other than our spouse. We can "watch' anything we want to. If you can watch anything and still remain faithful in your thoughts then there is no sin.

A young youth pastor came and said before he could have sex with his wife he had to read porn to get into the mood. We told him to stop, and prayed for him. He could see no harm in it.

That man committed adultry.

Watching porn does not put you in the mood for intimacy, but lust.

Not a good idea.

I guess the youth pastor could have opted for just not being in the mood. Maybe the reason he was not in the mood is because he wanted to be with someone else. Sounds like he got his wish.

This scenero plays out whether porn is in the equation or not.

Cant agree. Porn makes you like that, You become dissatisfied with your spouse and eventually you cannot be aroused by them as you depend on the porn. It has nothing to do with not wanting to have sex with your spouse at all, it is the incredibly damaging affects of porn..

Paul is very strict in telling us what we should and should not be seeing, hearing and doing. Looking at other naked people having sex is not anything that we should be doing whether we are turned by it or not. God is very firm on not uncovering nakedness in the Bible. Should we be any different? Sex is for the two married people only. there should never be anyone else involved whether it be in person or on a film.

I think you are jumping to conclusions. Men having ditched their wives for another long before anyone ever heard of porn.

I'm glad i did not become a doctor. I would have been living in sin after examining all those naked bodies.

If your doctor is having sex with his wife because they are turned on by your exam, there are multiple charges to be filed, and you need a new doctor.  Stupid comparison.

When in doubt, just remember that anything besides missionary position, in the dark, on the third Tuesday of the month, between 7 and 9 pm for the expressed purpose of procreation, is a sin.

It's stupid on purpose. Someone who thinks any nakedness looked upon being evil will hopefully catch on.

i did tell about the Christian porn found in house of Church members i rented years ago in the attic. It was naked people having relations with Zorro mask covering their face. once I lived in Apts. in Tacoma where they provide free cable half of the day on one channel until noon it was Christian TV, then after noon it switched to a porn channel.

The danger actually in porn usage at all is that, the temptation to watch it without your mate. The other danger porn is sin. Call me a prude. I learned everything i need to know about sex in college from my college roomate Crystal. that was years ago, she was so beautiful but would sleep with everyone.  I am not sure, that, some of the stuff she told me was even humanly possible, and the joy of sex book at hastings. I watched a few porn flicks,  in college but, felt so nasty inside. I was a kid, and they were  playing  at parties, and I left, feeling disrespected.

How did you know it was "Christian" porn?  Was it put out by Zondervan or TBN?

Yeah, I wonder about that.  A bunch of nekkid people in Lone Ranger masks; obviously porn; but what makes it Christian porn?  Were they doing the Naughty Thing in a cathedral?  In a pulpit?  While they sang hymns?

When I was thinking of instructional video, I was thinking along the lines of diagrams and computer animation about organs and hormones and why arousal happens and possibilities to promote it.  Maybe even un-detailed line drawing cartoons to illustrate possible positions.  Heck, maybe even fully-clothed people in exercise clothing illustrating positions.  Much more like a game of Twister than anything else.  Certainly not titillating.
