Rules for this forum (Love and Marriage Relationships)
« on: Fri Nov 17, 2006 - 15:51:44 »
Because of the nature of this Grace-Centered Forums section, there are some unusual rules. The rules will be enforced by the board moderators as gently as possible, and as strictly as necessary.

1. PARTICIPATION:
Grace-Centered's Christian Marriage Forum is a safe place for married and engaged couples (marriage is defined as one man and one woman) to talk about love, relationships, marriage, sex and intimacy in a way that is grace centered. Singles are allowed to participate in this forum. If you are not married, please be cautious about giving advice unless you have been married in the past. If you are under 18, please beware that the sexual relationship between a husband and wife will be encouraged and discussed in a somewhat frank manner and might not be appropriate for those under the age of 18. Note: This is not a place for theological debates. That would be in the Theology section.

2. BE UNDERSTANDING AND SENSITIVE:
We all have vastly different life experiences, we come from all over the world, and we span several generations. So, while we want to bring the truth to the subjects discussed, please do so with grace and kindness.

3. DON'T ENCOURAGE SIN:
Do not endorse or encourage behavior that the Bible calls sin (adultery, premarital sex, pornography, dishonesty, abuse, sexual deprivation, etc.).

4. KEEP SPEECH INOFFENSIVE:
This forum is for the discussion of marriage relationships. Clearly, as the Bible teaches, God blessed marriage relationships with the gift of sex (Song of Solomon, 1 Corinthians 7). Therefore, it is good for us to learn ways to keep this part of our marriage relationship strong. Where better to obtain this advice then from fellow Christians? After all, sex was God's invention and married Christians should feel free to rejoice and celebrate this part of their relationship. There will likely be frank and somewhat open discussions on sexual issues. However, we ask that participants limit sexual language to medical or mild slang terms. Please avoid detailed personal information. The goal is to inform, not titillate or offend.

"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled." Hebrews 13:4a

5. NO SEXISM
Please do not generalize or make broad accusations about either sex. Not all men are the same just as women are not all the same.

Note: If your marriage relationship is suffering and in need of help we reccomend this Seminar to save marriages in crisis. Click the link for more information.
