obsession on divorce and remarriage
« on: Tue Sep 15, 2009 - 05:04:02 »
I think it is clear here that mike sayen in obsessed with this one subject. He has looked at every thread on this subject, many form years ago and written on them. Why is that? He does the same on another forum I am on as well. Its clear to me that this man has a BIG problem. No one gets obsessed like this for no reason. This behaviour is way out of balance.

Color me a bit obseesed with divorce as well. Not dragging old forums or even quoting scriptures to prove this is right and this is wrong...i think we all KNOW.
Im obseesed with the church and divorce. Its a HUGE problem, and just to acknowledge it sets of a gender war on most forums...and I dont get that.

If we want to be "obssessed" with things going on in the Church, there are plenty of things to look at.  How about false teaching or watered down teaching, how about gossiping and backbiting, how about greed and gluttony, how about people who have lost their jobs and are having a hard time feeding and clothing their family, how about the epidemic of young people having premarital sex and sometimes getting pregnant (and sometimes having abortions), or the general sense of rebelliousness and disrespect that pervades our society??  Why the focus on DIVORCE?  There are so many problems that are worse than this.

I'm not saying divorce is a good thing or something that shouldn't be dealt with, but I usually find that the people who are the most vocal about divorce are the ones who have pretty little packaged lives and KNOW that they'll never be divorced so they feel free to point the finger at others.

In my opinion, most misguided views on divorce are directly attributable to the Anglican Church and their inaccurate translation of biblical customs which is clearly evident in the biased KJV when it comes to this matter.  The KJV makes very little effort in clarifying the differences between putting away and divorce and it just muddles the mess.

Not me bro....I did have a divorce as did my wife, in our past over 20 years ago. Im IN the IN crowd. Further , ha ha ha ha ha, packaged perfect lives...yea right, like mine, if you had a clue the upheavals in my marriage of 20 years, the separation the near divorce, etc. Nope, Im not your self rightious divorce condemner. Besides....its not about the divorcED its about the married NOT divorcing AS MUCH, for the lame reasons we see now days. I dare say I'd gladly see some back biting in the church as opposed to a divorce where one person can unilaterally destroy a family of kids, spouses, etc. complete with all the collateral damage.

The problems you mentioned...many of them STEM from divorce.

No, the church marches on about abortion. The church marches on about gay marriage. Meanwhile the church divorces at the rate of the society.
