An "Odd" Question...
« on: Sat Sep 21, 2019 - 16:46:05 »
or perhaps not.  Let's see.  This is what I am deeply curious about: How many men find women's feet attractive?  Or at least not ugly?

I am NOT a full-blown "foot-fetishist" type of guy, but I find pretty feet on a pretty girl at least as arousing as, say, a bare midriff.

Is this normal?  Is it typical?

I worry that telling a girl I find her feet sexy will make her feel weird.

I was surprisingly unable to find at "stats" on how common this is.

I think we all see beauty from different perspectives. I have a couple of my own favorite female parts, I keep quiet about it though, it's better that way.  ::smile::

Not a foot guy myself.  I enjoy the standard parts.   ::tippinghat::

The, um, "standard parts" are "superior," to be sure.

That's why I used the midriff analogy.  Do you fine a bare belly sexy?  I do.  I find pretty feet about as sexy... maybe a bit more at times.

What surprises me is that many men find women's feet UGLY.  Now, they *can* be, for sure, but not pretty feet on a pretty girl.

I feel weird having this conversation.  I can't talk about this IRL which is why I posted it here instead.

There has to be at least one other guy here that likes women's feet.  Come on.

Feet!?  ::lookaround:: Can't imagine anything attractive about them - they are just needful to aid our locomotion - can be sweaty/pongy at close quarters - and oh! the problem of cutting one's own toe nails, especially as one gets older, the feet seem to "get further away", or the back doesn't bend so well as it used to,  to get at them. (*) No IMO, rather unattractive in adults - but definitely OK for babies, little wriggly toes! ::smile::

As for ladies applying coloured nail-varnish to their toe-nails  ::shrug:: - Yuk!? - it's almost as bad as tattoo body art!

As someone has already said, it's the top/middle bits that are more interesting to us - what "hits us in the eye"!  Isn't it interesting how much effort the ladies expend on their hair - well that's natural 'cos it's at eye level - feet aren't, and are usually ignored unless bared!

(*  that's a very sore point with me! I cannot properly see my own toe-nails to clip them (extreme myopia!) - so I have to pay some £28 every  2-3 months to get a "foot care" chap to do that job for me. I've tried "doing" it by extensive filing, and also "by touch" - ending up several times with bleeding toe-tips - so I leave it to a specialist chap now! Have also had the very thin skin over my shins lacerated a couple of times, by lady swimmers doing wide breast-stroke kicks that I've passed in the swim-pool, not having trimmed their nails - so that's another "no-no"!)

I have never even considered that, and quite frankly I think that if one does then he's strange. A woman's eyes will be the first thing that can lure/tempt the man, and then from there just how well favored she is.
Quote from: THE WISE MAN
Proverbs 6:25~"Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids."
A man’s eyes see a woman’s beauty in a second~And it's not their feet there are drawn to lust after. The depraved heart of man is polygamous. It is never content, even though it will tell his lover that he is, and will even convince himself that he is. But the truth is the strange woman (not one's wife) beauty, is always more desirable, just as the forbidden fruit in Eden exceeded all others in appeal. To the depraved heart (the old man), the unknown is always presumed superior to the familiar. Fallen man is vulnerable to a beautiful strange woman, as the pleasure she embodies exceeds any other in this life~at least his depraved spirit tells him so. Therefore, wise men must rule their eyes and heart to resist her dangerous beauty and wiles, but, their feet, I never read that from the scriptures and my heart agrees! IF lust lies in the feet of the woman then I think I could nearly live a sinless life!

I feel weird having this conversation.
It is because it IS weird. I been with my wife for 53 years and have never taken a close inventory of her feet, been other places, but not there.

A man that is filled with God's Spirit looks much deeper than at outward beauty, they look at the heart of all people, especially so women, and there righteously judges the beauty of that person and their value as a person to be desired as a friend and companion.

That might be a fair question, but, do you know the reason we have feet? It's not about beauty.
I'll wait a bit and see if anyone will reply to the question?

 Why do we have feet?

No takers huh?

The reason we have feet, is to keep the end of our legs from fraying.

 Sheesh.

It all depends on one's viewpoint!

E.g. vide Isaiah 52:7

"How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things.
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
'Your God reigns!'"

That set me wondering if it was customary for ordinary Jewish people in Jesus time to wear sandals, or to go bare-footed if they didn't have far to walk. Sandal makers/sellers must have had a thriving business in those times.

There is the "oblique" suggestion in Mark 1:7 that they might have been shod : -

"And he preached, saying 'There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose'.

I see that the NKJV commentary says that removing the sandals of a superior was the job of a slave - so John the Baptist knew his place!

We read that it was customary for servants to wash the feet of guests when they entered a host's house.  Whether they were shod or not, treading through narrow, busy ancient streets - probably strewn with the occasional droppings from passing beasts of burden, must have been a mucky business, with sanitation not of primary concern.  Even in these days, walking along well-used sheep tracks in a pasture, requires attention to where one is treading - probably likewise, in the hills surrounding Galilee!

There is also the interesting question (to some of us  ::smile:: anyway).  How did much earlier generations manage doing basic things we do so much more easily now!  E.g. how did they trim their nails - I wonder when the first scissors or clippers were invented to make the job easier! In the absence of such aids it must have been a case of using something like pumice stone to file any nail excess away! Our forefathers must have got the idea quite soon of the "shearing" action of 2 sharpened blades secured at one end and squeezed together in a "cutting" action, so that they could shear the coats of sheep.  They would not have been able to produce spring metal, so the blades would have had to be separate for a long time.

I can't say I have ever looked at feet and thought anything about them being alluring.  I could perhaps be disgusted by a woman with hairy nasty feet.

And if you are talking about women, they use the clutch, brake, and gas pedals to drive badly and get in accidents.

Yeah, women shouldn't have legs, it's kind of like nipples on men.

We have legs to further distinguish us from Penguins. Or maybe so we wouldn't have to sit on our feet. Or, so men wouldn't spend all their time looking at feet.

If men have no interest in women's feet why do women wear sandals and open-toed shoes most of the time?

I think most of how women dress is for other women.  Unless they are practically nude.  That's for men.

I don't think so... other women aren't attracted to their feet.

Comfort is a factor.  Sandals are WAY more comfortable and practical except when it is extremely cold out.  Our feet aren't meant to be encased in inches of cotton, rubber, etc.

I think there are guys out there who do find girls' feet cute but don't want to say so.  I did just finally find a poll, and around half of men find feet sexy at least part of the time.

Some men also like women that look like Hereford's on bovine growth hormone.  Different strokes and all that.

Jaime does not like AOC.  But I think she has a nice pair of shoes ( not implying nice feet there homie).

AOC has horsey teeth. She could probably eat corn on the cob through a medium sized knot hole in a fence.

I had always been critical of guys who were attracted to feet in that way.  I certainly never was.

Then I saw a commercial for a shoe chain (DSW??) that HAD to have been made by a guy with a foot fetish.  It showed nothing but ankles, feet, shoes and a few inches of lower leg; but appeared VERY erotic.  I can't even say why.

I have not had that reaction to any other feet or even shoe commercials; just that one.
