Blasphemy Fetish

I have fallen victim to a female who tempted me to sin.  She has me addicted to committing blasphemy.

Have I lost my soul?

IMO the O.P. is in big trouble, or heading for it!

In the Bible's O.T., in Exodus 29:7 it states quite clearly "You shall not make wrong use of the name of the Lord your God; the Lord will not leave unpunished the man who misuses His name"

also, later in Exodus 22:28 "You shall not revile God, nor curse a chief of your own people"

If you want to see and experience the Lord's kindness and unmerited favor - then take care to respect Him, and if you are a Christian, baptized and have experienced the "second birth" with the joyful realization of the Holy Spirit's presence in your life, then in Paul's epistles, it is written  "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption"

IMO even the commonly used "OMG!"(said in full, and used as an exclamation of surprise or shock) is irreverent use of the Holy Name!

Regarding the woman who likes blaspheming - the obvious action for a Christian man, is to cut all association with the woman - and start confessing/repenting quick!

If you hope for good in your life - then realize that there can be no amity between "light" and "darkness" - "God is light, in Him there is no darkness at all". Christians are called to be bearers of that "light"!

As I type this, am reminded of words from the old "Fisherfolk" song : -

"The light of Christ has come into the world.
The light of Christ has come into the world.
All men must be born again to see the Kingdom of God.
The water and the Spirit bring new life in Christ Jesus."

The water of a believer's baptism, and the gift of the Indwelling Spirit received by faith! Because Christ is exalted and glorified at the Father's right hand - the Spirit is poured out on all flesh!.  What they do with such a gift - Advocate,Counselor, Friend - is a totally different individual matter!

How do you know that YOU did not tempt her? I have heard men TWICE in my lifetime accused the woman when iN FACT it was the man.

Hello JRusso,
Welcome to Grace Centered Forums. Hope your stay here is blessed.
First I have a question for you. Have you prayed for forgiveness for the female who caused all the problem?
Of course that may sound accusing to you, and the truth is, it is. You cannot blame others and expect to
receive forgiveness for your mistakes until/unless you acknowledge your own guilt in the same. Of course I"m
assuming she didn't hold a gun on you and force you to do things against your will.
God is gracious and will certainly forgive you, but you must confess your sin in in order to own it.
I again assure you I am not attacking you.
 Blessings,
 geronimo

Since there has been no response from the O.P. - you are probably quite right!

One may surmise you never had it in the first place.

If SHE has caused your addiction, then SHE now owns your soul.  According to your own admission, her will now governs your mouth.

The one to whom you give your life owns your soul.   If your woman controls your thoughts and the words of your mouth, then she owns your soul.

Either take it back or stop complaining about it.    If you can do neither then leave the company of the woman.

that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

No, as long as you are sorry, repent and ask GOD for his forgiveness, you have not loss your soul.

Actually, everyone of us has broken every one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS.  While I don't know exactly where in the New Testament Jesus said it, he did say "If you have broken one of these commandments, you have broken them all."  And, while speaking of one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS, HE, in essence, said "If you have thought of it, you are guilty thereof."  That is why HE had to die on the cross for our sins! Otherwise, we would all be heading to HADES as none of us can "Love the Lord your God with all your heart...and love your neighbor as yourself...."

Didn't Paul write :  "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Living God. You do not belong to yourselves, you were bought at a price. Then honour God in your body.".  From this, it is clear that Christ has bought us all (whether we like the idea or not).  There can only be one owner, and that will not change unless we are "sold" yet again, by the action of our current owner.  Christ will never do that - Thanks be - to His immeasurable love, mercy and grace!

IMO, What should be of concern to the O.P. is that he has formed a strong "soul tie" with the woman and needs to seek freedom from that! E.g. by submitting to those with a proven "track record" of ministering with strong prayer, to those needing deliverance/counselling and the "cutting-away" of any ungodly "soul ties"!
