Please watch and take heed, the time is nigh, we don't have too much time until the antichrist is revealed and the last last days (years) begin. Get right with God and be in His good graces
before that happens so you can be counted worthy to escape the tribulation.

Sigh. Yet another reference to the Antichrist myth.

Hey austins, what about those that have been horribly tortured, dismembered, beheaded, among other horrible deaths as Christians to date. What can happen to an individual in the great tribulation above and beyond that which has already happened to millions? We are told to overcome not that we will escape the tribulation. Final wrath, yes. Tribulation? No. Escapism from harm or even a horrific death in the Tribulation IS the great deception.

Austins, you may mean well, but you're confused. The mystery of iniquity has been here since the fall~the antichrist, which IS the spirit of iniquity will increase GREATLY during John's little season at the end of this world, which is btw the GREAT tribulation spoken of by Daniel and enlarged upon by Jesus Christ our Lord. The great tribulation is STRICTLY spiritual in nature not physical and we may very well be in the very mist of it now! The signs of it are clearly giving to us as a time when the truth of word of God will be rejected for fables; a time when mega churches begin to ABOUND, even though the truth trampled upon! Again, it IS spiritual in nature NOT physical, again it will be a time when the world begins to say PEACE and SAFETY...and THEN suddenly destruction shall come upon them and they shall not escape. So many scriptures could be provided, so many if people care to know, but not many do~which means WHAT?
Quote from: Paul
2nd Timothy 3:1-4:5This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (Paul is speaking of religious people NOT of the world outside of the churches!) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (Again it IS clear Paul is warning us of false prophets/professors,) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (False prophets DO NOT suffer persecution, but live in their million dollars ivory mansions, driving expensive cars and private jets!) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."
A very short list of false prophets:- Jim Bakker- Todd Bentley- Wesley Campbell- Kenneth/Gloria Copeland- Paul & Jan Crouch- Pope Francis- Steven Furtick- John Hagee- Ted Haggard- Kenneth Hagin-Benny Hinn- Brian Houston- T.D. Jakes- Leroy Jenkins- Joyce Meyer- Mike Murdock- Joel Osteen- Rod Parsley- Fred Price- Joseph Prince-Jimmy Swaggart- Rick Warren- Paula White- Andrew Wommack..and thousands of others past and present, thousands upon thousands! These are men that Jesus, Paul and John warned us that shall come in the latter days~NONE of these false prophets preach GRACE and most all of them are connected with Pentecostals in some form or another, yet what they ALL have in common is that they preach a gospel acceptable to man's approval, regardless what the word of God teaches. What they all have in common is that they ALL HATE the doctrine of God's election of grace as preached by Paul.

Yes, for me the end is near.  I have no doubts about that at all, unless Jesus returns before I die in the next few years.  Actually the end is near and the time is nigh for everyone, even the young.  You needn't worry about the end of the world, you need only worry about the end of your life; for the end of your life is the end of time for you to do anything to change what happens to you in the next life.

I agreed with you until you mentioned the cut and run escapist dogma which is commonly vomited upon the body of Christ these days.

An old hymn gives us a clue as to what really pleases God - trust and obey.   Neither involves running away from a problem or tribulation.  Both require courage and the Bible tells us quite forcefully and repeatedly that God hates a coward.  Jesus told us there would be no evacuation as you suggest. (*), but assured us that God's constant presence would go with us to see us through any adversity (Heb 13:5b).

With these great assurances before us and with us and in us, it remains for us to applaud Our Lord for His gracious covenant with us and to hold ourselves strictly to His standard of living.

It is time to repent of all the sins and pet fantasies that weigh us down and to turn to Our Loving God with hope in forgiveness and in His grace to allow us to continue to live and act in ways pleasing to the Master of the Universe.   Time is short.  The Master comes soon and what will He find us doing when He returns?

and that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

(*) John 17:15 "My prayer is NOT that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."
Which part of NOT is not understood?
