Men Should Ejaculate 21 Times A Month For Optimal Health, Study Suggests

A new study suggests that men who ejaculate 21 times per month have higher chances of avoiding some serious health problems. In a 2016 study published in European Urology,** researchers from Harvard University discovered that prostate cancer rates were slashed by nearly one-third in men who ejaculated more often than others, with 21 times seeming to be the sweet spot.

1. The study was pretty extensive.
It involved 31,925 men who filled out three lengthy questionnaires about how frequently they ejaculated between 1992 and 2010. For those who did so frequently, prostate cancer rates were considerably lower.

2. Was there really a link between the two?
That’s what the study aimed to find out. “We evaluated whether ejaculation frequency throughout adulthood is related to prostate cancer risk in a large US-based study,” researchers said. “We found that men reporting higher compared to lower ejaculatory frequency in adulthood were less likely to be subsequently diagnosed with prostate cancer.”

3. It’s official: getting off is good for your health.
The authors of the study feel confident in saying that there’s a positive correlation between decreased prostate cancer rates and increased masturbation, so there’s all the more reason to do it. “These findings provide additional evidence of a beneficial role of more frequent ejaculation throughout adult life in the etiology of PCa [prostate cancer], particularly for low-risk disease.”

4. This isn’t the first study to suggest such a thing.
There was an Australian study*** dating all the way back to 2003 which looked to find a similar link and came to a similar conclusion. Can’t argue with science!
