I not a fan of Demon Hunter but they are a Christian Metal Band, I like Skillet who are also Christian i am not sure what genre they are though. I have to admit i like low metal (Power Metal, Speed Metal) like Dragonforce and Rhapsody. I also like a band called Gamma Ray.

Did you get the new Skillet album, Basher? I got it the day it came out. I'm so excited to go to their concert on Halloween! I think they would just be considered Christian rock/alternative.

Me: "Yeah, 'cause God's a rockstar like that!"
My friend: "Of course, because without God, there would be no rockstars."

Two of my favorite bands.

I've always been a PanHead (massive Skillet fan). Their new album disappointed me, to be honest. Massively. I can say I only like about 4, maybe 5 songs, off their 12 song album Awake. I find myself actually having to research the motives for a ton of their songs now, because their message of hope and/or love is buried so far beneath the surface of their lyrics, it's rather saddening to me.

The songs "Should've When You Could've," "Believe," and my fave to hate "Sometimes," have NO light at the end of the tunnel.  Banging head against wall
...infuriating. They're going to same route as Three Days Grace, Saliva, Taking Back Sunday, and all those other emo bands out there.

I love "Hero," "Monster" (guilty pleasure, I'll admit), "Awake and Alive," "Forgiven," and "Never Surrender." The only songs that have a blatent message of hope and resolve through loving Christ. The rest of the songs on the album I could most certainly do without. Massive disappointment clouded my heart and mind when I heard how far they have fallen.

Demon Hunter, as well as other bands, I will always love as long as they stay true and open about their belief in Christ.
