I guess the song has been around for a few years now, but I heard it for the first time today during worship. A very good song, mildly simple but sometimes those are the best songs.

my humble 2 cents

maybe i'll hear it soon.  it doesn't ring a bell yet.
i think i would have picked a different title.  it sounds like it's a roman crucifixion carol!!
oh. well...we sing about 'old rugged crosses' sometimes.

We want to see Jesus lifted high,
A banner that flies across this land,
So all men may see the truth and know
He is the way to heaven.

We wanta see...
We wanta see...
We wanta see Jesus lifted high.

Step by step we're moving forward
Little by little we're gaining ground
Every prayer a powerful weapon
Strongholds come tumbling down

This is the theme for our Vacation Bible School this summer, so I have been hearing it a lot lately.  ::smile::

That song always make me bounce a little in my seat, since I can't really clap!  ::clappingoverhead::

A version of this song (acapella, by the way) is on the Jerome Williams and Free Indeed live CD issued a couple of years ago.  A little repetitive but the bridge breaks it up nicely.
