I not a nerd I still like some old rock & roll, but I will not listen to it, I made a decision to stay away from it and I'm not going back on my promise.

This will be an event sponsored by my Pastor.  I've participated for the last two years so far.  The first year I sang them a good night song close to midnight.  I don't think most people thought I was actually a part of the competition, but maybe that I was asked to perform it.  The second year I did a cover of another rock song, and did well, but lost to the guy who teaches guitar at the school and composed his own song.  I'm not giving up, dagnabit!

I love the new stuff, but will always love Skynard.  Fist rock song I heard was sweet home alabama.  So the band has memories for me.  But may I suggest a new praise song by Hillsong (Micheal W. Smith also sings it) it is called "Mighty to save"
