Singles Smile how are you going to spend the holidays without getting depressed that you don't have a significant other to share the Christmas season with Whistling?

I'll spend it with my family whom I love and cherish.  To be honest, I've never really struggled with not having a spouse at Christmas time or any other time.  However, I realize people are built differently and some will struggle with that.

He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; like one from whom men hide their face; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.  Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.

I used to get depressed, but now it doesn't bother as much. I think I've just gotten used to it. I still wish I had somebody but I don't, and being depressed over it won't change anything.

It would be nice to have someone, but I wouldn't get depressed not having one.
I just have to stay positive and hopeful. Someday I will either be with someone, or I won't. I told myself a long time ago that I can only look at what I do have, because what I don't have, I actually cannot "see".

Some of us imagine that we'd enjoy some time alone in this wild season.

Some of us imagine that we'd enjoy some time alone in this wild season.

The other night this guy was telling us all about being all alone on Thanksgiving and his neighbor bringing him a turkey sandwich at 9:00 at night and we were all--now don't you spend Christmas alone--you can come with one of us and my husband whispers to me, Can I just trade places with him? Smile  Of course, if my husband didn't have me and my wonderful family, I'm sure he'd be sad.
