There isn't as much discussion anymore.  I think it irks some folks that the Spiritual Sword isn't very relevant anymore.

Maybe they will finally breakdown one day and put it on 8-track so folks can listen to it while driving.

They turned me loose from the nervous hospital.  Said I was well.  Mmm hmm.

Suffering for your beliefs is called faithfulness, making others suffer for your beliefs is called being a jerk.

His cross, like the ark in the wilderness, is the center around which his people are to encamp; so that they cannot separate into factions, or withdraw from each other, without retiring at the same time from the presence of the cross.

For one thing, this thread was only created in order to advertise something, which is generally frowned upon by the adminstration of this forum, regardless of what it is.  This is really a form of spam.

Most threads started for the purpose of advertising a magazine would be removed altogether for that very reason.

Lively:  I believe the reason it was posted was to open up the topic of elders and their duties...  if elders are doing their duties as taught in the gospel or not.  I really do not believe it was posted simply for advertisement of the magazine.

You've been around here long enough to know better.

Lively:  It is your contention then that it was posted simply to market the Spiritual Sword?  Had nothing to do with the topic of Elders for discussion?   But the reality is, I did not go and look for the Spiritual Sword, but used the post of the table of contents to discuss elders.  Tell us all, was the first thing you did when seeing it run and go find the Spiritual sword to read it, or discuss the table of contents concerning elders?

Neither.  I made a tinfoil hat to wear.  Protecting my thoughts from the aliens!

I didn't respond to it at all.  I did respond to your ironically correct comment, but not to the TOC.

I think it's posted here not as an ad, btw, but as a "witnessing" tool to the heathens here. The fact that there's no real content, like your initial comment, says something unintended.

It isn't a comprehensive treatment of the topic.
Nobody asked me to edit/critique/contribute to the edition.

It's simple, HR.  Would you just give us the title of your article?  Evidently that is all we need.

Yeah, but Lively's already established that the dead are members of the church.

Yeah, but Lively's already established that the dead are members of the church.

Yes but he made it clear that dead elders could no longer serve. Rolling on floor laughing

No.  Next thing you know, that will lead to female interpreters for the hearing impaired.

At least they would still be SILENT in church. Only their hands would be moving.

I saw a "Contentious For The Faith" mag a few years back.  They were appearing to make female signing to a male a fellowship matter.  I suppose whoever is wrong about it will be tossed by their loving heavenly father into the gaping maw of hell in order to suffer the conscious, unending torments of damnation throughout all eternity.
