I love Olive Tree.  It syncs across all your devices and has an extensive library of commentaries.

I use YouVersion in iPad.  It is free and can work "offline" if you download the bible texts. It is also available on WIN 8 and Android phones and tablets.

If your computer literacy level or comfortability is not high, I would suggest an Amazon Kindle HD or if you like to spend more than necessary, an iPAD.

I was told tht the kindles HD's where only readable on their cloud and followed by google.  So I recieved a suggestion to try the Samsung galaxy 3.  Now I just have to figure out how to transfer the bible, etc on to the tablet via computer.  Any suggestions?

Thank you for taking the time to help out.

God bless you

If you are simply asking how to transfer files from a PC to a tablet I recomment using WiFi File Transfer (free version). I've done this via the wifi connection in my router as the desktop doesn't have wifi built in. I haven't tried this from a device with built in wifi, such as a laptop but it should be just as easy.

It's very simple to use and just works.

The only slight problem I had was, I think, a browser problem (you need to open up the tabletl via a browser). If you want to tranfer a whole folder, Firefox would not let me transfer a folder. I had to use Chrome to do that. But otherwise it's great - fast and easy.

Go to the Google Play store and find a Bible App that lets you download multiple versions.  There are plenty of free ones out there.
