computer trouble ?
« on: Thu May 25, 2017 - 10:06:15 »

I am not sure if  it is because of the weather ?  [ we live in the farm area]

But even today when the  wind is kind of calm,  my computer  will not connect.
[well  I am here,  but things just stop , freeze ,  ?  ]
It  just seems like it started  a few months ago.

My husband  took care of these things , I know nothing but to be able to post

here and write  letters.  [ He  passed away a year ago ]

What  am I missing ?

You will be best served to take it to a local shop in town.

I just figured out one thing !    I can play games  like solitaire  and jig saw puzzles,

that have some sound in them  and I still get this.....

But if I want to listen to music  or watch a movie......  No sound at all.

Would that mean some thing   different ?

Thanks   for  answering me    :)    ::amen!::   ::help::              ::headscratch::   ::smile::

The cats  stay out side  or in the barn or garage .....

The computer is a few years old ?  But my son says not old enough to get a new one.

It may  just be the  wind ?   And the distance  away from every thing.. ?

It  comes and goes.........

If it was the wind, it would mean the Internet connection is the issue, not your computer.

Some times I wonder  ?   Since  my son is doing the paying for the computer "stuff"

The  ? internet stuff ?    monthly  payments ?    I keep forgetting to ask.

with  8 children  running around  its hard to  remember things....

But   we  have been having  a  very lot  of wind around here.......  Never in my life

time  have   I seen so many day's  like that..........
So  it may be   only  that ?     I hope !

I think  it is the  area ,  we are  away from every thing but  farms.....

Things  will stop on the computer   and  after a few minutes  it will come back

things  just freeze  sound and  pictures .......

One  more question   I have  things pop up asking  if  it should  correct things on the

computer ?    My husband  would tell me to   just click  stuff off ,  now I am wondering

since  no one else is using this  but me............  and if its free  do I want to  try

different  things ?    Any idea ?   I hope  I am  making my self understood ?  :)

I would recommend not clicking on the things suggesting you "correct" things, most of them are scams that do more harm than good. Continue to click the OFF if you can.

And I agree with Alan and I build custom computers, they almost always a scam to get inside your PC.
