This site can’t be reached

Check if there is a typo in www.yahoo.com.

If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Google Chrome comes up automatically for me when I turn the laptop on.

But Duck still comes up if I click it

Also Yahoo mail works.

It is just the search page for Yahoo....

Should I uninstall then reinstall it?

Try clearing your cache first.

Just did that.

Still get the same

All is back to normal. Yahoo, yahoo mail, gmail (though I had to redo some gmail addresses as I kept getting they were not viable.

I did not have to call Verizon.....

Things had self corrected by yesterday....

HOWEVER. I have a new app tthat has placed itself on my task bar.

SPOTIFY

I do not know who this is and I will not click it or open it.

They better not try to charge me.

I guess Ill go try to uninstall them.  OK... they are gone. No problems.

Wonder if this is why I had trouble on Wed and Thur.... ? ::doh:: ::destroyingcomputer:: ::frustrated::

Sounds like something updated, very likely Windows. Spotify is a music streaming app, very popular and harmless. It probably came in with the update, but if you click it you would still have to download it before installing.
