Okay, it is my turn to ask for ::help:: here.

youtube.com links do not work for me.  I have no doubt it is some firewall setting, or some setting in my browser.

I could spend my time tweaking everything, but I thought some of you guys might know right off the bat what I need to adjust.

I am using firefox browser and ZoneAlarm Security Suite.  Short of dropping ZA, any ideas?  ::destroyingcomputer::

When you click on a link what happens?

Can you go to the page but don't get video or can you not get to the page?

Take a look at this page
http://www.arkst.com/?p=33

Does a video box appear below the text and to the side of the ads or is it just empty? If it does appear does it have video controls? Will the video play?

It could be a number of issues so we need to narrow it down.

Arkstfan,

Yes, I should have given more details.  When I go to a youtube page on Firefox, I get nothing but code- a long page of texts and symbols.

I just tried it on IE7 and had no problem.  At least I now know it's not necessarily the ZAP but instead is a setting in the Firefox browser, and I also now know I can view youtube on IE.

Which version of Firefox are you using?

It sounds like either a way out of date version or it somehow has come to the conclusion that flash data should be treated as plain text.

Yeah, check your Firefox version.  You might also try reinstalling Flash.

Well, I know I am using the latest version of Firefox; I keep auto updates on and I check manually every once in a while.  I will try reinstalling flash, but I would think if that is the problem, then it shouldn't work on IE.

In any case, since youtube does work on IE, then I don't really have any problems.  ::smile::
