Windows XP Service Pack 3
« on: Sun Sep 07, 2008 - 17:02:16 »
I have an older laptop at home.  Today when I got home I saw that there was a upgrade for Windows XP, Service Pack 3.  I decided, okay, I'll upgrade it it.  I got a few error messages during the installation, and though I attempted to "retry", the installation kept failing.  I then cancelled the installation and it attempted to uninstall the part that was installed, and that failed.
Is anyone else having problems with this?

My computer wasn't working right when I left the house, but I didn't have time to restart it yet.
I'm using the computer at church now.

I have heard several people having issues with the Service Pack 3. Can you delete the install?

I was able to "restore" it to a previous configuration.  It had me scared.
