Title: MP3 Editor
Post by: Weeble on Fri Oct 27, 2006 - 16:03:47
OK I have a MacBook Pro and it will bluetooth with my cell phone. I would like to take some of my ZOE, Accappella, and Jerome Williams and Free Indeed CD's and make ringtones out of some different songs.  Is there a Freeware application for the Mac that will edit MP3's?

I'll trade you my Garageband for your MacbookPro.  ::wink::

Do you have Garageband on your MacBook Pro?

Yes, but it is one of the apps that I haven't touched yet.  What do I need to do?

I have been using Audacity (On Windows) to make 15 minute "soundbites" of some of my favorite songs then putting them on a Thumbdrive and taking them to my Laptop (Mac) and bluetoothing them to my phone for ringtones.  I was just trying to do it all on my Mac.

It's pretty cool to have your favorite songs as your ringtone. Last week was Days of Elijah. This week O Sacred Head. Next Week "The Joker".

Well, I struggled with garage band but on another forum they gave me a link to Audacity for Mac with all of the needed files to get it to run smoothly on the Mac. I like the interface of it much better.  This week if you call I have got "I'm Just A Bill" from School House rock.  Last week was "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anyting."

Yeah that's one of those tasks GarageBand can do but for some reason the folks at Apple never thought anyone would want to do it so they didn't make any easy way to do it.

If they think you are going to do a task they almost always make it easy to do.
