Just about every major web application and/or service now offers cloud storage (Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Linux, etc). Cloud storage is simply a place where you can upload your data to a remote server, giving you access to your data from anywhere on any device.

Microsoft OneDrive is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, it is their version of cloud storage. It's legit but if you don't need it, don't bother with it.

I use Google Drive myself, I received 125GB of free storage with a mobile device upgrade.

This is not directly related to your cloud/remote storage issues, but Open Office is a good alternative to the Microsoft Office suite.   Open Office is free, but they're happy to take donations.  This was originally developed by Sun Microsystems and was called Star Office.  Now it is run by Apache.

+1 for Open Office, have used it frequently on my Linux builds.

Don't upload any sensitive documents or nude photos and you should be good.

I have used LibreOffice instead of OpenOffice since the Sun debacle.

Adding my computer/Internet question to Rella's.

I'm a bit of a neat-freak, and this is driving me batty-

I want to hide this mess. If I enclose this in a decorative box, will it interfere with the signal? Will it overheat in a box and damage it? If I drill a hole in the back of the hutch next to it and put it all inside a hutch drawer, will that interfere with anything?

Kind of embarrassing, but I just want it out of sight  - plus, when I sweep and mop that corner, it's a pain. (First world problems)

Shorter cables and a few zip ties, bread ties, or elastics would be my first inclination.

Thank you, Alan. That would help some. I just thought of a wicker basket, too. Surely it wouldn't overheat in a basket like this-

I can get shorter cables like you suggested, then put it in an open weave basket to semi hide it, and surely it wouldn't overheat in it. Then I can easily lift up the basket to sweep and mop.

Hmmm, I'll leave the nudies to you.

I have not heard of LibreOffice.

I only need something to created docs on and write letters. And it must be free.

Shorter Cables are good.... but can't you just pull and tuck what you have behind your cabinet?

As to  a wicker basket?  Why?

Mine is on a table top... in my bedroom ..... and it functions through walls to the kitchen and greatroom. Even with closed doors

You should be ably to just set something in front of it to hide it from view ... A decorative something or other , a column with a vase or bust on it, or even an artificial plant... (nothing that would need watered.)

My suggestion to most old folks would be to get a Chromebook if all you are going to do is get on websites and do a few letters here and there.
