Smart phone question to whomever would know
« on: Wed Apr 18, 2018 - 11:33:09 »
Please excuse me for asking a question.... I know this is ot the political forum but this does not apply there.

Has anyone ever experienced a double exposure or rather a split frame exposure when taking a pic with their android?

I was taking a shot of a pothole, located 1000 feet away from my back yard, but part of a pic that I took of my back yard is showing.... Far left side of the pic and the pot hole is cut off by this.

Never saw such a thing.....

Why?

The bolded part could be an issue though, corruption, distortion, deception, unauthorized editing, etc.

Seriously though, I've never had that happen and I take a lot of pictures. What make/model phone is it?

Do you have any picture taking apps on your phone besides the stock Samsung app? Older phone with a single rear camera shouldn't do that.

Just what came with the phone.... but it is not just a rear camera, it also has front and rear.

Both images were from the front

You cannot post an image directly from your yahoo email account.  You need to upload it to a website such as flickr.

The simplest explanation is to have one wide angle and one regular focal length, like 18mm and 35mm although many of the better phones like my V30 can shoot images using both sensors with multiple aperture sizes, you can easily switch between modes in the photo app.
