Sony CD Troubles
« on: Tue Dec 26, 2006 - 23:48:56 »
I just started to upload Casting Crowns' Lifesong CD, and I noticed it was put out by Sony.  Did they fix that little problem they were having?  As the evil dentist played by Olivier in Marathon Man would say, Is it safe?

What are you uploading it to?  I put mine on my computer and use media player and have not had any problems.

Oh, no problems in that way.  I googled last night and got my answer.  It seems the offending discs were recalled.

In late 2005, it was discovered that Sony was putting a copy protection program on their CDs that was potentially damaging to PCs.  This no longer appears to be a danger, though.

Of course, it didn't cause problems for us Linux users.   ::noworries::
