can't open websites
« on: Wed Feb 06, 2013 - 08:41:11 »
Dear Friends,
hello,
i have this problem,
i was using Internet explorer 7,
now i've got IE 8 installed,

There are websites which i could open earlier, with IE7,
now the same websites, i can't open, becoz
i get the message Internet Explorer has stopped working,
Or becoz of DATA Execution Prevention, I can’t open websites,

i read that this problem can be corrected by resetting IE settings,
I resetted the settings, but even then I couldn’t open websites.
IS there any problem
or do i have to go to a professional ,
thankyou for any helpful info,
Becky.

Get a better web browser (or 2) like Firefox and Chrome.

Personally I do not like Chrome but there are some things it does better than IE or Firefox. Some people like it a lot.

I use crome and like it.  If you want to use IE, there is a "compatibility view" that you can use to look at older websites.  Look on the address bar, on the far right side.  There is a picture that looks like a piece of paper torn in the middle.  Click on that, and you should be ok.

I'm a firefox user.  Chrome opens tabs as separate processes and pegs out my processors while firefox doesn't.  That being said, Chrome renders faster.  I'd use opera, but it just seems like I'd have to put on fancy pants and a tophat to use it.  Too uppity for some reason.

Whether you are on a proxies server? As earlier i was also facing the similar problem with my server on PC. But what i guess it looks like an issue of memory storage.

Have you tried clicking on Compatability View?  Sometimes that does help with web sites that looked fine with older versions of browsers but may not be functional with a newer browser version.
