When I "reply" lately -the screen moves up, crazy
« on: Wed Jun 10, 2009 - 22:35:36 »
This is very hard to explain. At a certain point on the reply screen - I can not just type as usual  --when I reach a certain level of the screen - the screen jumps way up so I can still type but not "see" what I'm typing.   If I want to see what I just typed I have to scroll the page down -when I proceed to type it jumps back up the page and I'm typing blind.   There are other problems along with this -but does this at least sound familiar?

The other day an Internet Explorer update showed up and I went ahead and "updated" ---it has happened since then.

I restored my system back a few days - but other problems then arose - so I "undid" the restore. Now I am back to square one.

I have no other problems anywhere on my laptop.   My emails work fine --it is only replying ----oh it just happened ---so this is the level of the page that I can not see what I am typing now and it is not just when I reply, obviously.

I am typing blind now seeing the sentence or two above what I am typing.
Crazy stuff, huh?   Thanks Elaine

Hey Sis, This thread is old but relevant to the problem I have just experienced after downloading the newer Windows Internet Explorer 8, and have a thread on it also on this forum. My older Windows Internet Explorer 7 didn't have this problem.

I have to now use a different Internet Explorer named Google Chrome; also a free down load to be able to type right on this forum. Presently I am retaining Comcast to access my emails, but switch to Google to reply here. Maybe I'll figure a better way in the future.

DCR knows what to do - you probably won't have to do all the above
with his help.
And we all know you need help.

Well, Mr. Brainiac, have you figured it out?

Yeah Sis; I ran across a site on line saying to just Start/settings/add or remove programs. I merely removed the Windows Internet Explorer 8 brouser I loaded. It is only an updated program of additions to the Explorer 7 that was built into my Windows 2003 operating system. When I removed the update I was left with the Explorer 7 brouser and it is working great.  Ya, Ya, Ya  Ya, Ya, Ya.   rofl
