Is there a way to take a recorded song off my "Windows Media Player" and transfer it, or play it on this forum?

Thank you in Jesus' name - larry2

The music you want us to hear is in a file. You need to place that file somewhere it can be accessed by people. One place may be disk space that your IP provider gives you for free. I have 10mb that mine has allotted me. I can create a web page there and upload pictures or music for people to access when they see that page or give the direct link to that one particular file of music.

Another way is to find a free service that will allow you to have a certain limited amount of files hosted on their servers. These sites are often loaded with ads but since it is free that is not always a bad thing. Remember once you sign up that they may ask what type of email notices you might like from Penny's,Wall Street Journal and many more. You would have to click on "NO" for each and you may have to do it more than once.

Never allow your own PC to be linked or shared. For Windows there is an option to share printers and files. That should ALWAYS be unselected, no, off.... no way hose!

So the actual answer to your question;
No the file does not exist on your Windows Media Player, it lives somewhere on your hard drive of your PC. I doubt that this forum will allow you to transfer this file to their servers (just a larger PC). Usually there is very limited space for such things from users. We are lucky we can upload on some forums a few pictures. One such place is EXCO boards where anyone can try their hand at a free message board.
To "play it" on this forum is answered in the first part of my response.

I hope this gives you an idea. As you can see clarity and understanding comes from having the right doctrine and asking the right question. Just pulling your leg a bit, Larry, hope you don't mind. Without the Bible we worship the God of our imagination. I'm afraid there are some very imaginative folks on this forum... she said tongue in cheek. Rolling

Hi .:Deb:. and thank you for your kind reply. I was at the point of believing this site was devoid of all persons even knowing what a computer was. You have come up with a direction I was contemplating, and that is establishing an outside server address such as You Tube or whatever if I'm saying it right: I have no computer knowledge, and what other knowledge I may have ever had is slipping away with time.   Smile

Until your suggestion of free space, I had not thought of it, but I may even find that Comcast provides such a benefit with their service. Thank you for taking the time to give me some ideas, and may God bless you in the precious name of Jesus - larry2

I think we are allowed to post using HTML. I'm no HTML programmer but you can uplaod the music to say, youtube or ijigg.com then just link it in your post. That's how it was done back when friendster was still popular. If there is an html programmer here, I'm sure he can help you.
