I am going to make and put up "Apple Butter" this year!   I'm thrilled... my gramma and my aunt are the QUEEN'S of Apple Butter  We're not worthy!  ...  I've eaten it all over the US and NEVER tasted any better....   I am making their recipe this year.  Pray for me! 

It is like making granny's Peanut Butter Pie or Strawberry Cake for the first time...  You hold your breath!  And pray.   Praying hard

Hi, my wife is visiting a sick friend and so I am trying to sneakingly find something nice to bake for her later. Were you serious about granny's peanut butter pie? Any recipes on that?

      I jusr read your thread and I remember my mother.  She used to make and put up Peach butter.
      It was very good.  Looked like apple butter in color and texture but it tasted like Peaches.
      I never knew how she made it .  I was just a kid.  GOD Bless.   Yummy
