Three NT scriptures speak of paradise. Any thoughts on differences between paradise and heaven?
Lk 23:43; 2 Cor 12:4; Rev 2:7.

Paradise is the garden of Eden.  According to Scriptures, it is part of heaven.  The third heaven, to be precise.  There are multiple heavens.  That's why the word heavens is usually plural in Scripture.

In no way to I want to contradict Wycliffes as he is correct.  However, a word can take on additional meanings and Paradise is one such word.

Jews who believe in an afterlife believe that upon death one's soul goes to Abraham's Bosom.   Abraham's Bosom is thought to be compartmentalized.    The souls of those who were faithful to God go to Paradise as their "holding cell" and the souls of the unfaithful go to Tartarus as their "holding cell."
