When you come to God about another, do you pray for them to change, or to stop doing certain things that annoy you or that you feel they shouldn't do?
UNLESS they have asked you to pray for them for help from God in this manner, you are trying to force one to do YOUR will and that is what a spell is. Do it no longer. Pray for others eyes to be opened to receive Christ for lasting benefits that ARE the will of God for all. Intercede for them to show God how you care for them and want what is best for them which is the know His Son. He will handle the blessings as they begin to walk forward looking to Him, and not you.

Do you pray for God to give jobs, houses, money to those who reject Christ? We must not ever pray for God to bless people in this manner for God is trying to get their attention to come to REPENTANCE, so that "He" can bless them in this way for obedience to Christ.

Always pray for yourself as well! Do not think of this as selfish, because it is really prideful to not think that you don't need worked on. For what good is it to keep praying for others eyes to be opened yet we are not fully awake by not walking in perfection either? Don't pray for THINGS, pray for God to work in you to bring you into all wisdom that pertains to godliness. For your:
Matt 6:32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
KJV
Always be thankful for every little thing you have been given and watch God bless you for He sees that you are not walking in greed but contintment. Blessings of wealth and riches DO COME FROM GOD when and only when you have been tested in the release of them and found blamelss of coveteous greed. For God's love is to make sure that He does not give you something that will destroy you in the end. Solomon sought to learn wisdom and justice for the people which pleased God, so God was able to give him inheritance right away. Not many of us are all that spiritual, YET!

Keep your eyes on the Word, walk with him, abide in him and allow the Word to abide in you and God will raise you up and give you all things for your pleasure. For He is looking for son's to walk the earth and keep the peace with the Love of God which is His Word. He provides you with all sufficiency for this earth is ALL HIS. Satan did not have the earth, he just stole the souls to do his bidding, these are the giants that we fear, but all things are really ours!

Also don't pray as if your not sure God can help you but you thought since nothing else worked I might as well give God a try(last resort).
Make Him your first choice(first fruits of your lips in prayer and praise) and pray like David did when he went to slay his giant with the Stone. Pray the Victory for your God will DO IT when you walk in righteousness and by Faith, believing for it, before, you will ever see it.

In the old testament, the people were seen bowing heads to pray as if unworthy to look up to God. But did you ever see Jesus, our example bow his head looking to the one under his feet or eyes closed as in blindness? We WERE blind, but now we SEE the truth!
In Christ we are now to come boldly to the throne of grace, looking up as a little child to our Father to ask for His help, advice, and wisdom that He desires for His children to grow in to receive their inheritance now and in the life to come.

Matt 14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
KJV

Mark 7:34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
KJV

Luke 9:16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
KJV

Did Peter pray for or cast a spell on Annanias and Saphira in Acts 5?

They definitely stopped doing what he found offensive...

Did Paul pray for or cast a spell on the slave girl in Acts 16?

She definitely stopped doing what he found offensive...

Greetings Dave,
Paul was not praying for the girl, he, IN THE NAME OF JESUS Paul cast out the unclean spirit in the girl who made her master's rich by seeking spirits for knowledge, outside of God. Seeking spiritual counsel from God is acceptable and profitable, for Joseph did it, Daniel did it. But to seek spiritual knowledge from outside forces is FORBIDDEN!

Ananias did not die when Paul prayed, but he and his partner in crime died due to their unbelief! Yes UNBELIEF, How you may ask? Because had they walked by Faith, they would have known that they CAN NOT deceive God for He sees our every move, and they wouldn't have lied to the man of God whom has the Holy Spirit within him. Never make a vow to God and not keep it!

Acts 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
KJV

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
KJV

Eccl 5:3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.
KJV

God is Mighty and to be REVERENCED!! Not thought of as a fool or blind as false idols  who are in statue form or dead. He is the Living God. Tread very lightly when walking in His holy presence!!

I pray for believers and non believers. Often non believers come to God through His love and blessings for them. Its not always because they are in trouble. I would never ever pray that bad things happen to people, thats not Gods way. I pray that they will be drawn with the cords of Gods love as the Bible says.

That is good to pray for non believers hearts to be softened towards God and for eyes to be opened most definetly.

But to pray for them to stop drugs, or smoking, or their ways is witchcraft. Because we can not ask for God to control their will, FOR US. Nor are we to pray for Unbelievers to receive a job or a house or anything that they are not believing God for, because they are non-believers, and God will not hear those prayers. To bless them, means to not speak evil against them, but to bless them with the Word of Truth, so that they MAY believe and come to Christ and get their needs met.
He wants them to FIRST believe that He is, and is the rewarder of those who SEEK HIM, not us.

Notice neither Jesus, nor the disciples, even though there was a treasury, never gave out material needs.
The only time that needs were met, were when they first came together and sat down at the feet of Jesus to receive the spiritual food he fed them. Then he took up an offering from those who were left till the end, lifted it up to the Father in heaven for THANKSGIVING and the food was miraculosly multiplied.

That is our example for when we come together of how our obedience to humble ourselves before God to receive our spiritual meal from the man of God, who then is to receive offerings according to what the meal was worth to them each and in keeping with what they have. Then he is to take this offering and raise it up to the Lord in front of the assembly in thanksgiving so that the Father in heaven can bless it and mulitiply us.

Jesus said to go and feed the poor.

Does that mean don't feed the unbelieving poor?

Just a note, it really makes no difference whether we pray that unbelievers kick their drug, booze, sex, etc habit because that's the same as expecting an unregenerate man to exhibit regenerate behavior. It will never happen and it isn't God's will.
Gods will is that they be saved, and once saved, they will naturally begin to kick bad habits because they're new creations in Christ.
