When you come to God about another, do you pray for them to change, or to stop doing certain things that annoy you or that you feel they shouldn't do?
UNLESS they have asked you to pray for them for help from God in this manner, you are trying to force one to do YOUR will and that is what a spell is. Do it no longer. Pray for others eyes to be opened to receive Christ for lasting benefits that ARE the will of God for all. Intercede for them to show God how you care for them and want what is best for them which is the know His Son. He will handle the blessings as they begin to walk forward looking to Him, and not you.
Do you pray for God to give jobs, houses, money to those who reject Christ? We must not ever pray for God to bless people in this manner for God is trying to get their attention to come to REPENTANCE, so that "He" can bless them in this way for obedience to Christ.
Always pray for yourself as well! Do not think of this as selfish, because it is really prideful to not think that you don't need worked on. For what good is it to keep praying for others eyes to be opened yet we are not fully awake by not walking in perfection either? Don't pray for THINGS, pray for God to work in you to bring you into all wisdom that pertains to godliness. For your:
Matt 6:32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Always be thankful for every little thing you have been given and watch God bless you for He sees that you are not walking in greed but contintment. Blessings of wealth and riches DO COME FROM GOD when and only when you have been tested in the release of them and found blamelss of coveteous greed. For God's love is to make sure that He does not give you something that will destroy you in the end. Solomon sought to learn wisdom and justice for the people which pleased God, so God was able to give him inheritance right away. Not many of us are all that spiritual, YET!
Keep your eyes on the Word, walk with him, abide in him and allow the Word to abide in you and God will raise you up and give you all things for your pleasure. For He is looking for son's to walk the earth and keep the peace with the Love of God which is His Word. He provides you with all sufficiency for this earth is ALL HIS. Satan did not have the earth, he just stole the souls to do his bidding, these are the giants that we fear, but all things are really ours!
Also don't pray as if your not sure God can help you but you thought since nothing else worked I might as well give God a try(last resort).
Make Him your first choice(first fruits of your lips in prayer and praise) and pray like David did when he went to slay his giant with the Stone. Pray the Victory for your God will DO IT when you walk in righteousness and by Faith, believing for it, before, you will ever see it.
In the old testament, the people were seen bowing heads to pray as if unworthy to look up to God. But did you ever see Jesus, our example bow his head looking to the one under his feet or eyes closed as in blindness? We WERE blind, but now we SEE the truth!
In Christ we are now to come boldly to the throne of grace, looking up as a little child to our Father to ask for His help, advice, and wisdom that He desires for His children to grow in to receive their inheritance now and in the life to come.
Matt 14:19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
Mark 7:34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
Luke 9:16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.
