The city I live in has HOV/Toll lanes to help relieve congestion on the main highways. I was driving in one of these early in the morning, before the sun came up and came to a narrow section that was very dark. There were few road lights and a bridge had cast a shadow so that I could not see anything. I could not see the concrete barriers, I could not see where to go. As I came upon it, the light from my headlights illuminated the way and I could see exactly where to steer my vehicle.
Psalm 109:5 tells us, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path." (ASV). Many times, we come to a point in our lives where we cannot see the path in front of us. It is shrouded in darkness and we are unable to see where to steer. God's Word is the light that will cut through the darkness and guide us on our path. Are you having trouble finding your way? Is there darkness in front of you? Open up God's Word and let it cut through the darkness, illuminating your way.
