this hits so close to home, thanks.  ::cryingtears::

Isa 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

alcoholism is sin, not a disease, and when I grasped that God helped me to change.

this scripture encouraged me.

12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.

13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful.

He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.

When you are tempted, He (God) will show you a way out so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10)

That video is only partially correct.  It does not distinguish between the alcoholic and the drunk.  There are emotional or mental addictions and there are physical addictions. Some are both physical and mental. Both are diseases but they need do be dealt with differently.  The video essentially only admits to the mental addition.  That is a serious mistake.

Drunkenness is sin.  Alcohol dependance is sin.

Alcoholism is a physical addiction which is a disease.

And who is to say that a disease cannot also be a sin?  Since they miss the mark of where God calls us to, perhaps ALL diseases are sin.
